THESANDMAN
MaxTruax directsa world premiere adaptation of THE SANDMAN by E.T.A. Hoffmann. BobFisher (founder and Artistic Director of The Mammals) is commissionedto adapt. Truax’s vision will use cinematic staging toexplorethe themes of sight and seeing woven into Hoffmann’s complexnarrative. Oracle’s production will investigate the inherentnarcissism of the voyeur, and will reveal the awful truth that themonster we fear the most is buried deep within our own souls.
 
THESANDMAN opens June 1st and runs through June 30. Performances are Friday, Saturday and Monday nights at 8PM; Sunday Afternoon at 4:30pm. Admission is free in Oracle'sPublic Access Theatre. Seats are sponsored by the forty4 and Oracle'sSeason Sponsor Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C.
